When Art Meets Architecture

WPC is excited to be leading another affordable senior housing project with American Residential Communities (ARC) and New South Residential, LLC. We are completing the construction of Phase 1 of Madison Landing, a $23 million – 105,011 sq. ft. affordable senior housing community located on 5.4 acres of land near Millenia Mall at 5800 S. Rio Grande Avenue in Orlando, Florida.

In line with ARC’s signature art for their high-rise communities the company commissioned an Orlando street artist, Andrew Spear who created an original design depicting natural elements capturing the essence of Orange County. He sketched the design which was then converted to a digital image which was then cast onto powder coated aluminum panels for installation. Andrew Spear is a contemporary street artist who has done art installations all over the world. Residing in Orlando, Florida you can see his work locally in and about the Mills 50 district, Thornton Park, Downtown Orlando, Winter Park, and backstage at the Amway Center.

WPC completed Madison Crossing II, a similar seven-story affordable housing development completed by Winter Park Construction in 2017 in Kissimmee. WPC will also be completing Madison Highlands in Tampa, Florida in early 2022.
